Highly Awarded Work Placement
Envision Australia has been successfully running a number of large Work Experience programs since August 2002 across a wide geographical area of Melbourne and Victorian including areas such as Wonthaggi and Phillip Island Pakenham, the Peninsula region and as far as Warrnambool, Colac and the Otway region in the south west of the state.
Such is the quality of the Work Experience projects done by Envision Australia it has been awarded as a Highly Recommended project in 2005 and made the national final in 2006 for Best Project Supervisor and in 2007 for Best Participant as part of the Prime Minister’s Awards.
The Work Experience Program is funded by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations. Participants are referred through Community Work Coordinators and can work from 6 hours per week (40 years and older) through to 12 hours per week (18-20 year olds) up to 15 hours per week (21-39 years of age) and 25 hours per week for longer term job seekers. The Work Experience Projects currently undertaken include:
Community Support Projects
These projects make up the bulk of our Work Experience Program. The projects are currently spread across the Southern region, the Peninsula and the South Eastern region and involve the placement of participants in a variety of positions covering such work as;
- Maintenance and gardening
- Administration and computer support
- Teacher/ Integration Aide
- Aged Care and disability support
- Childcare
- Retail support
- Customer service
Envision Australia has now achieved in excess of 2,000 placements in the
7 years of its operation with impressive employment outcomes for job seekers placed by us into the
600 plus community hosts we currently work with.
Our success in the development of such a wide range of community hosts will further support our status as an RTO and in the delivery of services under the new Job Network contract 2009-2012.
